1. SOLDIER PROCESS FOR REQUESTING BLANKET EXCEPTION TO POLICY TUITION
ASSISTANCE. From the Chief, Army Continuing Education System, HQ IMCOM
G1: TRADOC’s Army Credentialing and Continuing Education Services for
Soldiers (ACCESS), Army University transitioned from the GoArmyEd.com
system to ArmyIgnitED.com on 8 Mar 21. ArmyIgnitED is not functioning as
intended to provide Soldier access to Tuition Assistance (TA) and
payment of TA funds to education institutions. ACCESS, Army University
has created a manual process to authorize Soldiers to go directly to
their education institutions for enrollment using TA. The education
institutions will be repaid when ArmyIgnitED.com is fully operational.
HQ IMCOM Army Education is helping to address Soldier concerns. We have
created a new website for Soldiers to obtain contact information for
their servicing Education Centers. The web site launched includes a
phone and email roster for IMCOM and Reserve Component Education

2. DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS ETS SPONSORSHIP INITIATIVE. From the
Director, Army Retirement Services, Army G-1: The Department of Veterans
Affairs would like to recruit over the next year 2,000 new sponsors for
its ETS Sponsorship initiative. This is a pilot program with the Army
to provide new Army Veterans with a sponsor when they ETS or retire,
just like when they PCS in the Army. Sponsors can be Veterans or even
those who haven't served. To scale the program up now and continue its
success, the VA is especially looking for new sponsors in Texas, New
York, Florida, Washington State, Kentucky, Tennessee, Wisconsin,
