3. ARMY RESERVE SOLDIERS WHO DEPLOY AS CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES, 16 AUG 22. On 16 Aug 22, the OCAR G-1 signed the updated policy which prioritizes the retention of TPU Soldiers who deploy as civilian employees. First priority is to retain Soldier’s deploying for a year or less in their current unit of assignment or a OCONUS unit near the civilian assignment, (outside imminent danger areas or hostile fire zones.)  Soldiers deploying as civilians for more than 12 months and have remaining MSO, will be reassigned to the Standby Reserve Active Status List. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-1180978

This message applies to Regular Army Enlisted Soldiers who hold the Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) of 35G and 35F. Soldiers assigned to Army Geospatial Battalion (AGB), National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) that have completed or in the process of completing Basic and Advanced Target Development will be stabilized for a period of 48 months from their initial arrival at NGIC.
