UAGC/Ashford Restored to Full Active Status
Date Published: 8 Aug 22
The Department of Defense (DoD) has restored its Voluntary Education
Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with University of Arizona
Global Campus (UAGC)/Ashford University (OPEID 00188100) to full,
active status, effective 5 August 2022. The Department had previously
placed UAGC/Ashford's MOU in a probationary status, pending review of
the facts surrounding a March 3, 2022, Statement of Decision from a
Superior Court of the State of California. The Department has determined
that the removal of the probationary status is warranted based in part
on the institution's responses to the Department's concerns, and the
active engagement and cooperation by representatives of the institution.
The removal of probationary status means that UAGC/Ashford (OPEID
00188100) is restored authorized access to DoD installations for
purposes of participating in recruitment-type activities, to include job
training, and career events and fairs. Further, eligible new and
transfer students to the institution are permitted to enroll and receive
DoD tuition assistance.
