2. “INTEGRATED AUTOMATED TRAVEL SYSTEM (IATS) 8.0 RELEASE MIGRATION TO
MS SQL, CAC ENABLING, AND DATA CALL/ (TRAVEL TECHNICAL MESSAGE (TTM)
21-04). From USAFMCOM:  (Last Reminder) In June 2021, IATS migrated to
Microsoft (MS) SQL Server with IATS version 8.0 (current version is
8.2).  Army organizations/sites using the Sybase platform purchased by
the Defense Finance and Accounting Service expires on 30 September
2022.  The MS SQL Server does not permit DFAS to purchase licenses for
Army sites.  Therefore, Army sites must purchase their own platform
license in order to operate IATS.  The preferred platform license
product for Army sites to procure is MS SQL server.  Sites that do not
procure their own platform licensing won't be able to utilize IATS after
September 2022.  Please see the attached fact sheet on the IATS

some other tool that can help commanders track when they should be
submitting awards based on Soldiers' loss dates and our unit's local
