This message announces the transition to the Enterprise Exceptional
Family Member Program (E–EFMP) System. The FY21 NDAA directed DOD to
standardize the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) across the
military departments where practicable, to include standardized EFMP
system, identification and enrollment, process for permanent change of
station orders, review process for availability of healthcare, family
support programs, respite care benefit, and performance metrics. On 24
August 2022, the legacy web EFMP system will no longer accept new
assignment coordination requests, assignment coordination responses, new
enrollments or overseas family member travel screening. Web EFMP will
sunset after all remaining open packets are completed. Effective 31
August 2022, Army EFMP will transition to the E–EFMP system as the Army
