Subject to the availability of funds, the Army will reimburse Soldiers for qualified relicensing costs and qualified business costs of a spouse under the following circumstances: The Soldier relocates to a new jurisdiction or geographic area as a result of: (a) an assignment to a duty station; (b) a reassignment on permanent change of station (PCS) or permanent change of assignment (PCA) orders from one duty station to another duty station; (c) a transfer from the active component into the Reserve component with authorization for a final move; or (d) placement on the temporary disability retired list; and, The movement of the Soldier's dependents is authorized at the expense of the United States as part of the relocation. The Surgeon General’s (tsg) annual award for military academic excellence (the Lewis Aspey Mologne Award) provides personal recognition by tsg to an Army physician for outstanding leadership in military/academic medicine.
