S1NET Message Summary - 7/29/2024

1. MEMBERS NOT RECEIVING S1NET MESSAGES.  From Jerry Dillard:  On a daily basis, I receive multiple emails from S1NET members asking why they are no longer receiving the S1NET Messages. The issue is normally either the member’s email on their account is incorrect, security settings of their server, or they haven’t logged on in over 9 months.  If you are reading this, you don’t have either problem or you wouldn’t receive this message.  I’m asking that members who receive this message pass the word to others who may not be receiving the messages now. https://www.milsuite.mil/book/docs/DOC-1307956

     a. INCORRECT EMAIL.  DISA stopped redirecting old Enterprise email (mail.mil) to new email addresses, such as army.mil and health.mil.  We don't have the ability to change the email in your profile.  It pulls from DMDC, and the email you have registered to your CAC in DEERS is pulled into your milSuite profile.  You must take positive action to get it updated and refresh your milSuite profile. See the link above for instructions on how to do that.

     b. CORRECT EMAIL BUT NOT RECEIVING MESSAGES.  Some of the security settings are not allowing the S1NET Message to go through as it is considered spam.  Adding jerry.l.dillard.ctr@army.mil to your contacts can help alleviate that issue.

     c. NOT LOGGED ON IN 9 MONTHS.  If you were a member of S1NET and have stopped receiving messages, and the email in your milSuite account is correct, it is probably because you had not logged on within the past 9 months.  milSuite disables the accounts of members who have not logged on within 9 months, and disabled accounts do not receive the messages.  All you need to do to reactivate your account is log on.
