1. GUIDANCE FOR SUBMITTING A TRAVEL CLAIM FOR PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION ALLOWANCES WHEN PARTICIPATING IN PROFESSIONAL MILITARY EDUCATION OR TRAINING CLASSES. From Army G-1 Military Travel and Transportation Branch: On 1 August 2024, ALARACT 058-2024 was released announcing Army’s policy for permanent change of station (PCS) allowances while attending professional military education (PME) or training classes. This policy is retroactive to December 23, 2022. A Service member with dependents who remained at the old permanent duty station (PDS) and Government quarters were not provided at no cost while attending a PME or training class, is eligible for per diem paid equal to the amount of the basic allowance for housing without-dependent rate applicable to the Service member’s pay grade and PDS when participating in professional military education.
