Effective 30 June 2014, the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army will oversee a revised process for HQDA ALARACT messages. The purpose of this change is to ensure that ALARACTs are not used to disseminate new or revised Department of the Army (DA), agency, or command policy or procedures. HQDA Principal Officials should ensure that new or revised policies are promulgated in an Army Regulation, DA Pamphlet, or DA Memorandum in accordance with the reference.
ALARACT Message Policy is now contained in AR 25-30 and DA Pam 25-40
