ALARACT 008/2025, ANNOUNCEMENT OF IRIDIUM DEACTIVATION, DTG: R 301646Z JAN 25

Effective 13 January 2025, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Deputy Chief of Staff, G–6, and Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) will commence deactivating all Army Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services (EMSS) iridium devices, including iridium satellite phones (Subscriber Identity Module (SIM)), Short Burst Data (SBD) devices, and Distributed Tactical Communication Systems (DTCS) that have been inactive for 3 months or more as of the publication date of this ALARACT.
