BLUF: This MILPER message describes the specific eligibility criteria to allow officers to request to defer promotion consideration (opt-out of) for the FY25 Army Competitive Category (ACC) Major (MAJ) Promotion Selection Board (PSB). This only applies to officers in the In Zone (Primary Zone) of consideration. Officers may submit their request to opt-out from 10 February through 10 March 2025. Requests received after 2359 hours EST on 10 March 2025 will be returned without action.
